The opening scene begins with a violent tsunami crashing onto the shore, creating a powerful, black, swirling torrent that swept away everything in its path. The sea level rose rapidly, overwhelming the coastal road and carrying away parked cars like fragile cardboard boxes. The first two cars were lifted by the waves, overturned, and dragged out into the sea, leaving behind an indescribable scene of chaos. In the distance, small boats were also swept away, drifting into the coastal residential area, creating utter disarray. Small buildings, traffic signs, and utility poles were gradually submerged in the raging water; nothing could withstand the power of nature.
The subsequent scenes of flooding on the shore further highlight the damage left by the natural disaster after the tsunami receded. A muddy, yellowish floodwater covered a vast area, submerging dozens of cars belonging to local residents. Cars lay scattered, almost completely submerged, with only their roofs protruding above the murky water. A silver-red car, swept away by the flood, lay tilted on its side on the bank, next to many household items washed ashore. Everywhere was a scene of devastation; the floodwaters not only submerged the streets but also destroyed all the infrastructure along the way. In another area, cars lined up precariously in the floodwaters, unable to move, trapped in a vast expanse of water.

In the bottom left frame, a road is completely cut off by floodwaters, creating a deep ravine separating the two banks. A white truck is overturned at the edge of the ravine, about to be swept away by the raging current. The surrounding landscape consists of flooded fields and trees, all the fruits of people’s labor submerged. The final frame shows a completely flooded parking lot, with dozens of cars bobbing on the surface of the floodwaters. Not a single person was seen, only the desolate landscape remained after the flood, leaving behind an unforgettable sense of loss.
Tsunami and floods are both devastating natural disasters, capable of destroying man-made structures in minutes. Causes include underwater earthquakes, prolonged storms, and volcanic eruptions. Climate change and deforestation in upstream areas also increase the frequency and severity of floods worldwide. The consequences of tsunamis and floods are not only property damage but also loss of life. Many families are separated, homes are swept away, and livelihoods are completely disrupted after these natural disasters. Water pollution and the risk of disease outbreaks are also serious problems that arise after floodwaters recede.

To this day, accurately predicting tsunamis remains a major challenge for scientists worldwide. Early warning systems have been developed, but they cannot completely prevent the damage caused by natural disasters. Environmental protection, reforestation, and the construction of flood control structures are sustainable solutions to mitigate risks. Solidarity and community involvement in post-disaster relief are crucial factors in helping people overcome difficulties. The scenes of devastation in these images serve as a powerful reminder of the power of nature and humanity’s responsibility to protect the environment. We need to raise awareness about climate change and implement disaster prevention measures to protect our own safety and that of our communities. Only thorough preparation and environmental protection actions can minimize unnecessary damage from natural disasters.
